Amy Jackson : Indian Cinema's Next Aishwarya Rai !

Amy Jackson debuted in Tamil cinema in 2010 in Madrasapattinam. She share the screen with actor Aarya as leading lady. Madrasapattinam  made big in box-office in 2010 along side with Vinnaithandi Varuvaya which features Trisha Krishnan as leading lady. Madrasapattinam is slightly based on Hollywood's biggest hit   Titanic and Vinnaithandi Varuvaya is based on (500) days of summer.

 Unexpectedly Amy Jackson was cast for Hindi remake of Vinnaithandi Varuvaya , Ek Deewana Tha. It was a big project with most wanted director of Kollywood, Gautham Vasudev Menon. Amy played a Malayalee girl's role in the said movie. That role was never suited her and the movie failed in box-office. Amy's Hindi film career was ended there.


In 2012 Amy again did another big project with A.L.Vijay. Thandavam. Amy share screen with Anushka Sheety and Vikram. Thandavam was another flop for Amy and after a year in 2014 she debuted in Telugu cinema with Yevadu.

 While Amy Jackson's career graph moving downwards, Samantha Ruth Prabu was making big hits in Telugu and she was booked for 8 movies at once! Samantha become most wanted actress in Telugu after her maiden project in Telugu Yeh Maaya Chesave became biggest hit in Tollywood. It was the same movie that failed Amy Jackson in Hindi which gave mass victory to Samantha Ruth Prabu in Telugu.

 Samantha's victory after victory caught Tamil producers attention and she was roped for two big projects of Tamil at that time. Samantha signed to play leading character in Kadal and Shankar's  I(Aai).Later, due to date problems Samantha was replaced by Tulasi Nair in Kadal. (Kadal was another flop!)

 Amy Jackson replaced Samantha in Shankars I(Aai) . It was reported by several websites that Amy Jackson was paid USD 120,000 for this project! We should take into account that Shankar is the very first person who worshiped  Aishwarya Rai as "India's Goddess" through his film Jeans in 1997. 

 After Aishwarya's marriage the entire industry needs another face to replace her place. When I (Aai) reach silver screen it will be clear whether Amy can replace Aishwarya's place in Indian cinema.

Currently, Anushka Sheety is busy in her two Tamil and two Telugu mass projects.Nayantara has almost 5 new projects in her hand ! Samantha and Hanshika Motwani also has notable Tamil projects in their hand. This could be a great chance for Amy Jackson to shine in south cinema. She already signed, Surya Sivakumar's upcoming project Mass.

 Shankar's I (Aaii) will decide Amy Jackson's future in Indian cinema.

Tamil cinema start to talk in 1931 through Kalidass.
